Instant cookery / first issue / April 1971

An unusual monthly food magazine from 1971. Instead of the normal editorial format of food publication using mostly fresh ingredients Instant Cookery took the opposite view and presented meals using packets and cans of processed ingredients. Perhaps not surprising that it only ran for eleven issues. I thought Art Editor Christopher Lumgair designed an interesting looking magazine and especially the pack shots against a black background to show what packaged products were required for each recipe. His use of various weights of Futura also added to the overall appeal.
