Scott Papers sampler box / 1982


A big box of Scott Mobile Offset paper. Inside were eight sheets fourteen inches square and two of them unfold to twenty-eight inch mini posters. Take the lid off and the first one displays the perforation (two of the circles) and die-cut potential of the paper. The op-art poster shows off the folding quality. What I liked about the box was the cover: a printers make-ready sheet. You don’t normally see these wonderful color designs outside of a printers because they are just printed to check the inks and plate positions so they run through the press several times to get things right before the proper print run.
