The first fifty years 1926--1976 / Container Corporation of America

A handsome 112 page large paperback (14 by 11 inches) celebrating the corporate history of the Container Corporation of America and designed by William Bonnell. The company took the view that a pictorial history would be more interesting to employees, shareholders and others. The CCA had always presented itself as having a strong interest in visual identity, two examples are the 1953 published World Geo-Graphic Atlas (actually a revise of the 1936 version) and distributed free and the long running Great ideas of western man ad campaign also published as large free book (look at some of these ads in the Past Print October 2011 archive).
